I used Cody's book and saved a $6000 accountant/tax attorney
fee. I followed his instructions to the tee and though the
process took about 8 months to complete (including the submission
and review of my offer) - they (the O-I-C department) accepted
my offer at less than1 penny on the dollar.
I feel like a 10,000 lb gorilla is off my back. I feel as
though I have been running and hiding from the IRS for years
and now with Cody's help, I have been given a fresh start!
Don't let the high powered attorneys or accountants intimidate
you into thinking you cannot do this on your own...which
they WILL try to do. If you can follow instructions and
alter your lifestyle for awhile, you too can be successful
with your offer!
Good Luck with your offers and thanks again Cody Mayo!

Thank you Cody for helping resolve my family’s tax
debt...... I am so grateful you were able to reduce million
of dollars of tax debt we would never be able to pay to
a small fraction of that. We consulted and used numerous
CPA’s and attorneys that were supposedly experts for
our situation but most cases they were either unhelpful,
ignorant, or just preying off our fears to make money. Thanks
again Cody!

I'm writing this letter to recommend Cody Mayo's book
on how to prepare an Offer In Compromise. I had a $92,000
tax debt for several years of taxes (mostly interest and
principle), which I was paying off via an installment
arrangement with the IRS. Of course, the arrangement was
such that the debt was growing faster than it was being
paid off.
For years I put off making an Offer In Compromise because
I couldn't afford the thousands of dollars in fees that
various lawyers and tax accountants wanted to charge me
for doing it. So I finally resolved myself to doing it
on my own and taking my chances.
By good fortune, my wife found Cody's book online, and
when I read about his extensive experience in this field
and how comprehensive his book was, I bought it, figuring
it couldn't hurt to have it.
Well let me tell you that I read the book several times
(including the enclosed IRS training manual) and followed
his instructions very carefully. After a few months of
diligent work, I had a first class offer to send to the
IRS in Sept/04. Within a few months, they assigned my
case to a local branch office, and I spoke to the woman
who was in charge of my case, to make a personal contact.
She was very sympathetic to my case (special circumstances
with a disabled child), and after reviewing the details,
she suggested that I increase my offer from $12,000 to
$20,000, which was about the maximum I was expecting to
pay.
Just last Sat (April/05), I finally got the acceptance
letter from the IRS. They agreed to my offer of $20,000!
I'll be sending the money this week and will finally be
freed from this heavy burden that has plagued me for over
a decade.
There's no way I would have been able to accomplish this
without Cody's book. There are a lot of details that aren't
obvious from the IRS forms, and of course, he fills you
in on all the subtleties involved, including the mentality
of the IRS case workers.
The reality is that even if you pay someone to do it,
you'll end up doing 90% of the work, since it's all your
own documentation they need. Putting it together is straight
forward if you follow the instructions in the book.
If you are going to do the offer yourself, YOU MUST BUY
THIS BOOK for your own good. It's worth every penny, and
Cody was kind enough to answer some questions for me along
the way, to make sure I was on the right track. I can't
thank him enough for making this book available.

I just got my first offer accepted. I have worked lots
of offers and never got one accepted. I was fairly knowledgeable
but i did read part of your book and see it is a great
reference tool..... We did not go through the regular
offer process but we were appealling ... and when we talked
to the appeals lady we said we really wanted to do an
OIC. After first saying she wasn't the one to do one (here
is where our conversations and the info from your book
came in) I told her my story of the years we have treid
to get one for this guy and that we never could get the
service to tell us a number that would be accepted. so
she got us to sendf in the info. Well he owed over $80,000!
and she settled for $16008 or $667/month for 2 years.
My client intends to pay it off early and is thrilled!!!!

I am impressed!! I was been "suckered" by
the IRS............. I "Googled" and found your
site. I am impressed that you have already given such
intricate information that has commonly vexed me about
attorneys (sorry) and other professionals who simply take
money and file papers, instead of fighting from start
to finish (as I used to do in my profession). Thank you
for..... excellent direction and thoughts.
